A brand new Mary Kay Pink Cadillac (Melissa Olivarez) chauffeured a fluffy white bunny hanging out the sunroof, around the neighborhood, hyping up the families as they walked to the BIG Hunt. The littles were very excited to see the bunny (Kelly White)!
As the bunny got out of the sweet pink caddy, many littles came in for long loving hugs. It was an "awwwwe" out loud moment. I felt bad breaking up the love fest, but the line for photos was deep & the kids were beyond eager to be released on the hunt! The bunny hopped around too!
One age group after another, they had their head starts, and within 10 minutes the ground was bare of the 5000+ brightly colored eggs, filled with treats and treasures.
You could see many families sitting on the fresh lawn (Premier Lawn & Landscaping), opening their finds, golden eggs being discovered, prizes to be collected, and recycling the eggs for next season's hunt in a nearby bin.
It was a true success! So many happy faces.
I love our neighborhood and this event always brings me joy!
Amazing volunteers (GVHS community service credit) and many others helped to bring this hunt together. It was fun to hide 5000 eggs and get the party ready for the hundreds of people who showed up to be a part of the magic.
Organizing this event for the past 7-8 years, we try to make it just a touch better each time. Very proud of how it came together. - Heather Dixon
